The League & the Lantern by Brian Wells review and giveaway
I was sent a copy of the book The League & the Lantern recently, and I am so excited about this author! This book is a great read for kids of all ages. I found it to be fun and exciting- a great source of entertainment. The book begins with Jake, an about-to-be seventh grader who is going to a school party with the hopes of a “do-over” after having a terrible experience the year before which caused a great deal of embarrassment. Jake shows up late, with a mess on his shirt and promptly begins his evening by having to wear a pink girlie looking t shirt- not the impression he was hoping to leave. But first impressions quickly lose importance when the museum the kids are in comes under attack. Jake and his 2 team mates, Lucy and TJ, quickly band together to escape before they’re caught by the thieves who’ve come to steal items from the Lincoln display. This sparks a continuous series of incidents as the kids try to locate Jake’s uncle for help, only to find another mystery surrounding him. This book is recommended for 9 to 14 year olds, but it can be read by many others as well. Nothing questionable in content would make this a fun book to read to younger kids. I was sent this book for free by Flyby Promotions for the purpose of review.
And now for the fun part! Flyby Promotions has graciously offered an additional copy of the book to be given to one of my readers. That’s right, I will be giving a copy of this book out for free! To enter, please go to the rafflecopter below and enter as many tasks as you like. Remember to share with others for more entries and come back again each day for daily entries as well! Good luck!
Can’t Wait? Buy the book directly from the website, https://leagueandlantern.com/ and they’ll give a copy to a child in need from one of the following non profit organizations: The Salvation Army, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, or Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
