8 Pack Anti Tip Furniture & TV Safety Straps from Safety Anchor

SONY DSC

We’ve been trying to get into safety mode lately by making a bug out bag, stocking the house and cars with extra supplies in case of emergencies, and trying to foresee possible places where we could improve on safety in our home. We live in a fault zone and there is a distinct possibility that we could have a catastrophic quake in my lifetime. We have quite large televisions and also cabinetry in our bedroom that I am concerned about in the event of an earthquake.  I was offered a set of Anchor Straps to try and I found these anchors to be the right size and amount for what I needed and set out to give them a try. I found them to be very easy to install, using basic tools and taking only minutes to accomplish. Each Anchor Strap has enough hardware to secure both ends with mollys or regular screws as well as bolts for attaching to the back of a TV.

TV sets come equipped with predrilled holes specifically for this purpose and the directions show how to install on a wall or shelf unit, as well as how to attach furniture to a wall so that it won’t tip over. This is of extreme importance to me, as our bedroom set has tall cabinets that would prove to be deadly if they fell onto either of us while we were in bed. I have such a great peace of mind knowing that this simple fix not only ensures that our belongings are kept safe, but we are also safe as well. And, although we don’t have any little ones to worry about, these straps come in a set of 8, so there are plenty to strap dressers, etc. down so that children can’t tip them over on top of themselves.

Anchor Straps is a small American owned business whose sole purpose is to make the world a safer place. They saw a need and came up with a way to fix it. They’re no nonsense approach to their product and their willingness to back up their product made them a pleasure to do business with.

Unilever Sampling #16 From Crowdtap

I have been trying some new products in the past few weeks and I wanted to share what I found with you. I got the four following products:

SONY DSC

I tried the shampoo out after going without shampooing my hair for a few days. I sprayed it into my hair from the bottom facing up into the scalp, then allowed it to set for a few minutes before combing it out. It looked much like it does when I shampoo it and felt fine. Of course, nothing feels quite the same as actually shampooing it, but this was very satisfactory and I plan on taking this shampoo with me when I go into the hospital later this month.

This was my first experience with TRESemmé Compressed Micro Mist, Level 1 Texture. I had only tried their shampoo before, but I am very impressed with this hairspray. I love that this skinny little can hold enough hairspray to compare to a regular 11 ounce can! But it takes up far less space so it’s great for travelling. And I need something that will give me that extra hold when I’m on a cruise- this will work perfectly! A quick spritz of the microfine mist and I’m good to go!

I love this product! Degree Motion Sense Black and White Dry Spray goes on dry and stays dry. It doesn’t leave white marks on my clothes, which I love! This is that one thing that you need in your kit when you are getting ready for a night out and don’t want to risk ruining your look with deodorant streaks on your clothes. And the tropical scent is wonderful!

Degree Women Black + White Tropical Touch Antiperspirant Deodorant is an invisible solid deodorant like so many others. But this one doesn’t give you what others do- white marks on your clothes! I love being able to put on dark clothing without having to worry about streaks on either side. And what it does give is awesome- great coverage! It glides on smooth and keeps me dry and odor free for hours.

Unilever Sampling #15 From Crowdtap

I have been trying some new products in the past few weeks and I wanted to share what I found with you. I got the four following products:

Suave Professionals® Natural Smooth Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray

Suave Professionals® Natural Volume Mousse

Suave Professionals® Rose Oil Infusion Volumizing Shampoo

Suave Professionals® Rose Oil Infusion Volumizing Conditioner

Each of these products was tried on its own to see how well it worked. I found them to be very good products as a whole.

The Suave Professionals® Rose Oil Infusion Volumizing Shampoo was thick and rich and left my hair feeling clean and healthy. It had a sweet rose scent reminescent of my Grandma’s rose garden- not overwhelming, just soft and lovely.

I loved the Suave Professionals® Rose Oil Infusion Volumizing Conditioner as well. It only took a blob the size of a 50 cent piece to work through my hair, then I let it sit for about 5 minutes before rinsing it out. My hair was soft and manageable and had a slight rose scent afterwards. My husband noticed the scent and liked it.

I tried the Suave Professionals® Natural Volume Mousse next. Or I should say my daughter tried it, as I don’t really “do my hair” per se. She washed her hair, then applied the mousse and scrunched her hair as usual. She liked the texture of her hair when she used the mousse. It didn’t leave her hair crunchy. I let her keep the mousse since she sampled it and she was happy about that!

I used the Suave Professionals® Natural Smooth Compressed Micro Mist Hairspray last. I love how fine the mist is with this hairspray. It doesn’t come out in little drops like other hairsprays, but in a real misty form. It made it easier to get it more uniform on my hair, which made it look more natural and it held all day. I really liked this product!

All of these products were great and I would recommend them to anyone who wants good quality products at a good price.
