Mission Trip to Eastern Washington
My kidlet is going to Eastern Washington next summer on a mission trip. She and her church group will go there for a week. They’ll be helping a church and putting on a full scale VBS for them. The bad news: the trip will be very expensive. The good news: the kids are responsible for earning the money for the trip. The church is allowing the kids to do bake sales over the year- five in all. The first is this weekend and we baked lots of goodies to send in. Here’s a shot of our trunk, with Cranberry Scones and Cinnamon Crumb Cake in one box and Witches Fingers Cupcakes in the other.
The Witches Finger Cupcakes were in the box Jazzy is holding. They’re Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting.
These were our favorite project! They required a little extra work, but we felt that they would attract kids and sell quite well. These were from a post on the Skip To My Lou website found here:

Who knows what we”ll do next time but for now, she’s reached her first goal, which was $40.00. We’ll be looking for ideas to make money as well as looking for people who would be willing to sponser her for her trip. As always, prayers are welcome and thank you in advance.
